Here at Riverview, we provide specialist accommodation and care for residents living with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
With a new 20 bed purpose built dedicated Memory Support Unit designed to ensure resident safety and a range of dementia-specific leisure and wellbeing activities, Riverview is the ideal choice for residential Dementia care in the Riverland.
In line with current best practice care for people living with dementia, Riverview provides dementia-specific care that is flexible and meets individual resident needs. Due to the many different types of cognitive impairments and the ever-changing nature of these conditions as they progress, we recognise that every individual, their history, current circumstances and relationships are unique, and we understand that a “one size fits all’ set of care practices is not always appropriate.
All residents are accommodated in private single rooms with ensuite and their own reverse cycle heating and cooling. We offer both permanent and respite care.
Residents are well looked after by our 24-hour nursing and carer staff, with medical professionals and allied health professionals visiting regularly, and always available for emergencies and in times of need.
All meals are prepared onsite in our well equipped kitchen, and are served in the Traeger communal dining room, or delivered directly to residents in their rooms if they would prefer.
The Traeger lounge and television area is for all residents and their families to enjoy.
Residents benefit from access to social and recreational activities and facilities here at Riverview, and are welcome to attend our weekly chapel services, or book an appointment in our onsite hairdressing salon.
In addition, Residential aged care, Independent Living Units, Serviced apartments, and respite are all available at Riverview, enabling couples to reside in close proximity if partners require varying levels of care.
